2019 – plans firming up!

We’re now booked to three 1940s events this year!  We are really excited and can’t wait to get going.  It takes a lot of planning, but is a lot of fun x

Our events so far are:

11th & 12th May – Wells at War, Wells & Walsingham Light Railway, Wells-next-the-Sea

6th & 7th July – Thorpe Camp, Tattershall Thorpe, Lincolnshire

17th & 18th August – International Bomber Command Centre 1940’s Weekend, Lincoln

We will start planning seriously in the next few weeks, as there are resources to source (and even make!) – I have to use homemade playdough for some of my exhibits, as I don’t want fresh meat or butter sitting out all weekend!  I also need to look for some novel recipes and try these out so that I can bring samples to the shows showing the resourcefulness of the housewives – think I might be trying Parsley Honey again, as it confounds people!

We have a much smaller caravan this year, which will be cosy, but I’m glad that we are back on the road and able to attend events again.

I’ll keep you up to date, as I start to look for recipes and try them out – are there any that you can recommend me to try?  Let me know!
